Production Mode

Production is PrimeCal's default Experience Mode. Everything is visible.

What's Available​

  • Full Calendar workspace — Month, Week, and Timeline views, calendar groups, and creating/editing both events and calendars.
  • Full Tasks workspace — the complete board, labels, due dates, and the Focus Sessions timer.
  • Full navigation — Search, the More menu, notifications, and your profile menu.
  • Automation, External Sync, AI Agents, Personal Logs, and booking links.
  • People groups and calendar sharing.

When To Use It​

Production is the right mode for almost all day-to-day use — anytime you want full access to everything PrimeCal offers, including the advanced tools like Automation or External Sync.

Switching To Production​

From Focus mode, open the mode selector pill in the header and choose Production — the switch is instant, no PIN required. From Kid Mode, a grown-up must enter the Kid Mode PIN from the shell's Back to grown-up view button; see Kid Mode.

Best Practices​

  • Stay in Production for anything involving Automation, External Sync, or AI Agents — those aren't visible in Focus or Kid Mode.
  • If task labels or due-date detail disappeared, check whether you're in Focus mode — see Focus Mode.
  • Production is the safest mode to leave a device in when it isn't being handed to a child.
