Mobile App Issues
Having trouble with the PrimeCal mobile app on your Android or iOS device? Most issues are quick to resolve.
The app shows a blank white screen
Fix:
- Close the app completely (swipe it away from recents) and reopen it.
- If the blank screen persists, uninstall the app and reinstall it from the app store — this replaces any corrupt local data.
- Check your internet connection. The app needs to reach app.primecal.eu to load your data.
The app is missing features I can see in the browser
The mobile app may be a slightly older version than the browser version while the app store update is being reviewed. Features added recently may appear in the browser first.
Fix:
- Check the app store for an available update (App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android).
- Until the update is available, use app.primecal.eu in your mobile browser for the latest version.
Swipe gestures for calendar navigation are not working
Fix:
- Make sure you are swiping from within the calendar area, not from the edge of the screen (edge swipes can trigger system navigation instead).
- Swipe left to go forward in time, swipe right to go back.
- If swipes still don't work, try a two-finger swipe — some device accessibility settings change how gestures are interpreted.
The bottom navigation bar is not visible
The bottom navigation bar appears on mobile-sized screens. On tablets or when the device is in landscape (horizontal) orientation, the layout switches to a side navigation instead.
Fix: Rotate your device to portrait (vertical) orientation to see the bottom tab bar.
Pull-to-refresh triggers a page reload instead of refreshing calendar data
Pull down from the very top of the calendar area, starting within the scrollable content region. If you pull from outside the scrollable area, the system's native refresh can fire instead.
Login with Google or Microsoft doesn't work in the mobile app
OAuth sign-in (Google/Microsoft) opens a browser window to complete the authorization. If the authorization window opens but closes without returning you to the app, try:
- Make sure your default browser is not blocking pop-ups or redirects.
- Use email and password login instead — this is always available and is not affected by OAuth redirect issues.
- Contact support if Google/Microsoft sign-in continues to fail on mobile.
The app crashes or freezes after a device software update
Android and iOS updates can occasionally affect how the app's browser engine works. If the app crashes after a system update:
- Restart your device.
- Check the app store for an updated version of PrimeCal.
- If no update is available yet, use app.primecal.eu in your mobile browser in the meantime.
Still stuck?
Contact support with:
- Your device model and OS version (e.g., iPhone 15 running iOS 18.3)
- What you see when the issue happens (a screenshot is very helpful)
- Whether the same problem occurs in the browser at app.primecal.eu
