Notification Not Received

You expected a calendar reminder or notification but nothing arrived. This page covers in-app notifications (the bell icon), event reminders, and email alerts.

In-app notifications are not appearing (bell icon shows no count)

Most likely cause: The real-time connection dropped — usually because the tab has been open in the background for a long time, or the network briefly went offline.

Fix:

  1. Reload the page. The connection re-establishes automatically on load.
  2. If you are on a slow or unstable network, switch to a more stable connection and reload.
  3. Try a different browser to rule out a browser-specific issue.

A specific notification is missing from the notification inbox

Notifications can be filtered, and may appear as "already read" if you opened PrimeCal on another device or in another browser tab.

Fix:

  1. Click the bell icon and check the All tab, not just Unread.
  2. If the notification is missing from All as well, it may not have been generated. This can happen if the event that should have triggered the reminder was created after the reminder window had already passed.

Email notification not received

Fix:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder — automated emails sometimes land there.
  2. Verify your email address is correct in SettingsProfile.
  3. Check your notification preferences — some notification types may be set to "in-app only" rather than "email". Go to SettingsNotifications to review.
  4. If none of the above helps, contact support with your account email address.

Automation-triggered notifications are not firing

The automation system includes a 1-minute cooldown per rule. If a rule fires very frequently, subsequent notifications within the cooldown window are suppressed.

Fix:

  1. Go to DashboardAutomation and open the relevant rule.
  2. Check the Audit Log tab — it shows whether the rule executed and what happened.
  3. If the audit log shows no executions at all, verify the rule is enabled and the trigger conditions match the events you expect.
  4. If the Automation feature is not included in your plan, all automation rules are inactive. Check your plan under SettingsSubscription.

Event reminders are not showing as browser notifications

Most likely cause: Your browser blocked notifications for app.primecal.eu when it first asked for permission.

Fix:

  1. Click the padlock icon in your browser's address bar.
  2. Find Notifications in the site permissions list and change it to Allow.
  3. Reload the page.

Note: Browser notifications only work while the PrimeCal tab is open. If you close the browser, reminders won't appear until you re-open the app.
