Simple Mode

Simple Mode shows just the appointments. Text is larger, the calendar opens on a plain agenda of what is coming up, and everything that is not needed to read and add appointments is out of the way. It suits someone who only needs their appointments, a calm view for yourself, or anyone who finds the full calendar busy.

What Changes In Simple Mode

  • The calendar opens on the agenda — the next 30 days, grouped by day. Only three views are offered: Agenda, Day, and Month. A link to any other view opens the agenda instead.
  • Larger text and firmer lines. Entering Simple Mode applies the Comfort skin, which raises the text size across the app (more on a bigger screen) and darkens lines and secondary text for easier reading. The date at the top of the calendar always stays whole: where there is no room for the full date it shortens to "Mar 10 – Apr 8", and then to digits, rather than being cut off. See Skins & Appearance.
  • Appointments, not events. The calendar says what most people say: Add appointment, New appointment, "Nothing planned for this day", "Search appointments" — in the buttons, the card that opens when you click an appointment, the editor, the messages, and the questions about repeating appointments. (In Hungarian and French the word is időpont and rendez-vous; German already says Termin.) Other modes keep the word "event".
  • Roomier rows. An hour in the Day view is 72 pixels tall instead of 60. The calendar's options menu (⋯) lets you change that — see Density.
  • No dragging. Events are not moved or resized by dragging. Click an event and choose Edit to change its time, or Duplicate or Delete from the same card.
  • A plain list of calendars. The sidebar lists your calendars with a checkbox each. There are no groups, no People section, and no sharing, and calendars are not created or changed here.
  • Fewer places to go. The header keeps Today, Calendar, Tasks, notifications, and your profile menu. The More menu, Automation, External Sync, AI Agents, Personal Logs, booking links, and Screens are hidden.

What Stays The Same

  • Adding appointments — the Add appointment button opens the form, as always, and so does the quick-create card when you click a time in the Day view. Typing it in one line is there too, called Add by typing: it is the first item in the arrow beside the button (and, on a phone, in the floating + button's list). Other modes put that quick way first; Simple keeps the form first on purpose.
  • Your tasks, with due dates.
  • Search, and your profile — language, time format, and the way back to another mode live there.

How To Switch To Simple Mode

Open the mode selector pill in the header (or Profile → Experience) and choose Simple. The switch is instant — no PIN required. If the calendar is open, it moves to the agenda.

To go back, choose another mode from the same selector. The Comfort skin is handed back with it unless you picked a skin yourself.

Tips For Simple Mode Users

  • If the text is still too small, raise your browser's zoom — Simple Mode scales with it.
  • If the larger text is not what you want, keep Simple Mode and change Appearance to Default under Profile → Experience; the mode stays, the text goes back to regular.
  • To arrange calendars, share one, or set up automation, switch to Standard Mode — nothing is lost, it is just out of the way.
