Network Errors

Network errors appear when your browser cannot reach app.primecal.eu, or when PrimeCal cannot connect to Google or Microsoft to sync your external calendars. Here are the most common situations and what to do.

"This site can't be reached" or the app won't load at all

Most likely cause: Your internet connection is offline, or there is a temporary issue with the PrimeCal service.

Fix:

  1. Check your internet connection — try opening another website to confirm you're online.
  2. Wait 1–2 minutes and reload. Brief interruptions usually resolve on their own.
  3. Try opening PrimeCal in a private/incognito window to rule out a browser caching issue.
  4. If the problem persists for more than a few minutes, contact support.

"503 Service Unavailable" or "Service Unavailable" error

This means PrimeCal is temporarily unavailable — usually during a brief maintenance window or a platform restart.

Fix:

  1. Wait a few minutes and refresh the page.
  2. If it persists beyond 10–15 minutes, contact support.

"Too many requests" or rate limit error (HTTP 429)

You (or an integration you've set up) is sending requests to the PrimeCal API too quickly.

Fix:

  • Wait a minute, then try again.
  • If you are running an automation or API integration, add a delay between requests or reduce the polling frequency.

"Payload too large" error (HTTP 413)

You are trying to upload something that exceeds the size limit — for example, a profile picture or attachment that is too large.

Fix:

  • Reduce the file size before uploading (compress the image or reduce its resolution).
  • If you believe the limit is too restrictive for a legitimate use case, contact support.

Google or Microsoft calendar sync fails with a network error

External calendar sync requires PrimeCal to reach Google or Microsoft on your behalf. A network error here usually means:

  • The connection to the provider timed out (temporary).
  • Your authorization token has expired and needs to be renewed.
  • The provider's service is having an outage.

Fix:

  1. Go to SettingsCalendar Sync, disconnect the affected account, then reconnect it. This refreshes the authorization.
  2. Check whether Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 is accessible directly in your browser — if the provider is down, wait and try again later.
  3. If reconnecting doesn't help, see Google Sync Problems or Microsoft Sync Problems.

Pages load but data doesn't appear (events missing, blank calendars)

Most likely cause: A network request partially failed — the page loaded but couldn't fetch your events.

Fix:

  1. Hard-refresh the page: Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
  2. Check your internet connection — if you're on Wi-Fi, try moving closer to the router.
  3. Disable browser extensions that might block requests (ad blockers, VPN extensions).
  4. Try in an incognito window with extensions disabled.

Still stuck?

Contact support with:

  • What error message or behavior you see (a screenshot helps)
  • Which page or feature you were using when the error occurred
  • Your browser and OS (e.g., Chrome on Windows 11)
  • Whether the issue is consistent or intermittent
