Offline Mode
PrimeCal is a cloud-based application that syncs your calendar data across all devices. It works best with an internet connection. Here's how it handles situations when you're offline or on a poor connection.
What Works Offline
When you lose connectivity, PrimeCal's mobile app can still show you recently cached data:
- Viewing events: events that were loaded before you went offline remain visible. The calendar shows the last-synced state.
- Reading event details: tapping an event shows its cached title, time, location, and notes.
What Requires Connectivity
The following actions require an active internet connection:

What Happens When You Reconnect
When your connection returns, PrimeCal automatically syncs in the background. Any changes made by other family or team members during your offline period appear within a few seconds of reconnection.
If you notice the calendar seems outdated after returning from a trip or airplane mode, pull down on the calendar view to trigger a manual refresh.
Planning for Offline Situations
If you know you'll be offline (e.g., a flight) and want to review your schedule:
- Open PrimeCal while still connected.
- Navigate through the days you'll need — the app caches what it displays.
- Once offline, those days are viewable (but not editable).
