Inviting Attendees
When you create or edit an event in PrimeCal, you can add other people as attendees. They'll receive an invitation and can respond with Accept, Decline, or Maybe.
Adding Attendees To An Event
- Open the event creation modal (New Event or click a time slot).
- Scroll to the Attendees field.
- Type the person's PrimeCal username or email address.
- PrimeCal suggests matching users — click to add them.
- Repeat for additional attendees.
- Save the event — invitations are sent automatically.
You can add both PrimeCal users (by username) and external email addresses (for people who don't have a PrimeCal account). External attendees receive an email with the event details.
Adding Attendees To An Existing Event
- Click the event to open its detail view.
- Click Edit.
- Add attendees in the Attendees field.
- Save — the new attendees receive their invitations immediately.
What Attendees Receive
- PrimeCal users: the event appears in their calendar in a "pending" state until they respond
- External (email) attendees: they receive an email with event details and Accept/Decline links
The Organizer Role
The person who creates the event becomes the organizer. Only the organizer can:
- Edit the event
- Add or remove attendees
- Cancel the event
Removing Attendees
- Edit the event.
- Find the attendee in the attendees list.
- Click the × next to their name.
- Save — they receive a cancellation notification.
Real-World Example
Will schedules a weekly "AI Project Review" every Friday at 3pm. He adds his team members as attendees. Each team member gets the invitation in PrimeCal and can accept or suggest an alternative time.
When Justin organizes a basketball game, he invites Noah and other players — they each see the event appear in PrimeCal pending their response.
