Mobile vs. Web Features

Navigation Differences
Web: Left sidebar always visible with calendar list and groups. Top navigation bar with view switcher.
Mobile: Left sidebar becomes a slide-out drawer (tap the hamburger menu). Bottom tab bar replaces the top navigation for primary actions.
Month View on Mobile
On mobile, Month view shows event dots below each day number instead of full event cards. This keeps the grid readable on small screens. Tap any day to see the full list of events for that day.
Week View on Mobile
Week view works the same as on web — scrollable 24-hour grid. Tap a time slot to start creating an event at that time.
Creating Events on Mobile
- Tap a day in Month view to open the day panel → tap "+" to create an event
- Tap a time slot in Week view to create at that exact time
- Tap the "+" button in the bottom navigation for a blank event modal
Swipe Gestures
- Swipe left: go forward in time (next week/month)
- Swipe right: go back in time (previous week/month)
- Pull down: refresh calendar data
What Works Better on Desktop
- Drag to resize events: resize events by dragging their bottom edge in Week view — easier with a mouse
- Drag to reschedule: move events by dragging them across the time grid
- Multi-column week view: ultra-wide screens show more days at once for a better weekly overview
- Detailed admin panels: the Admin panel and Subscription settings are designed for desktop use
For scheduling-heavy work like Will's deep work time blocks, the web app's drag-and-drop in Week view is faster. For checking May's family schedule on the go, the mobile app is perfect.
