Calendar Views
PrimeCal shows the same event data in several views. Each emphasizes different decisions, and the date in the toolbar always names the days on screen.

On a wide screen Day, Week, Month and Agenda are buttons and the rest are in the menu beside them, named after the view you are in. On a phone the choice is Day, 3 days, Month, Agenda and Now: a week of columns is too narrow to read, so a link or a default that points at Week opens as 3 days.
The Day, 3-day, Work week and Week views are one grid, so what you learn in one works in all of them: creating, moving and resizing, and the card that opens when you click an event.
Focus View
- Shows the current and next event prominently.
- Includes a live clock and remaining time indicator.
- Supports drag-to-create in the timeline.
- Shows meeting links when the event contains them.
- Respects hidden live Focus labels from the profile page.
- Stays compact and boxed even when the global calendar workspace is set to full width, so deep-work lists do not stretch across ultra-wide screens.
In practice, this means Focus can use the same data as the other calendar views while keeping a tighter visual rhythm.
This calendar Focus view renders your existing calendar events compactly. The Tasks workspace has an unrelated Focus tab for a daily list of routine and due tasks — see Focus and Scheduling.
Month View

Shows a six-week grid layout, the same on every screen. Weeks start where you set them to, and can be numbered.

On a computer or tablet each day lists its events as compact cards in the calendar's colour, with a "+N" where a day has more than fit. Click a day and a panel beside the grid lists everything on it; click an event, in the grid or the panel, for its card with Edit, Duplicate and Delete.

On a phone a day is its number and up to three coloured dots, one for each event (more shows as "+N"). Tap a day and it is outlined and its events are listed under the grid: the time, the place, a Join link for a video meeting and an Add button, which opens Quick add on that day. With no day tapped the list is for today, or for the 1st of the month you have paged to. Tap an event for its card; swipe sideways to change month.

With a keyboard the grid is a single stop on the Tab key (today, or the 1st of the month, when no day is picked). The arrow keys move between days and the focus moves with them, Home and End jump to the ends of the week, and Enter or Space opens the day.

Every day has a spoken name ("Tuesday, March 10, 2026, 2 events"), and the weekday names are those of the days the grid really draws.

Week View (and Day, 3 days, Work week)
- Uses a 24-hour vertical time grid, in quarter-hours.
- Supports drag selection to create a pre-filled event.
- Click an event for a card with its details and Edit, Duplicate and Delete.
- Sorts overlapping events by calendar rank, then calendar ID, then event ID.
- Shows a current-time indicator during the day.
- Can turn real locations into map links.
Views In Each Experience Mode
Which views you are offered, and where the calendar opens, depend on your Experience Mode:

A link to a view your mode does not offer opens the mode's own view instead, and the keyboard shortcuts for the other views do nothing. Switching mode while the calendar is open moves it to the new mode's view.
People View
One day, one column for each person. A calendar is a person here: each calendar that is switched on in the list gets a column, in the list's order (a calendar for a room or court is a place and gets none), so the view suits a household that keeps a calendar for each member, or a team that does.
For today a Who is next strip runs across the top, a line for each person: what they are doing now and until when, what comes next and how far off it is ("in 3 hours"), or that they are free. Below it each column lists that person's day - all-day events first, then each event with its start and end time, title and place - with the event that is on now and the one coming next outlined and marked, and what is over faded. A + at the top of a column starts Quick add for that person, on the day you are looking at.
The arrows and the arrow keys move a day at a time. On another day there is no "now", so the strip is left out and nothing is marked. On a phone the columns stack, a person to a section. It is the opening view of Family Mode; in the other modes it is in the views menu beside Day, Week, Month and Agenda (not in Simple, which keeps to its three views).
Density
In the views that draw the hours of a day — Day, 3 days, Work week and Week — the calendar's options menu (⋯) has a Density choice: Compact (an hour is 48 pixels tall, so more of the day fits on screen), Regular (60) and Comfortable (72, for more room). Month and Agenda have no hours to scale, so the choice is not offered there.
Each Experience Mode starts with a density of its own — Planner is Compact, Simple is Comfortable, the others Regular. What you pick is kept for that mode, on this device (a phone and a desktop want different answers); pick the mode's own density again and the calendar goes back to following the mode.
Week Numbers
The calendar can number its weeks, by the ISO standard used across Europe: weeks start on Monday and week 1 is the one that holds the year's first Thursday. In the Day, 3 days, Work week and Week views the number sits in the corner above the hours ("W11"; "KW 11" in German, "11. hét" in Hungarian, "S11" in French). The Month view gets a narrow column beside its rows. Your week can start on Sunday or Saturday and the number stays the ISO one: each row shows the number of the week most of its days belong to.
Planner Mode numbers weeks by default; in the other modes, and to turn it off in Planner, use Week numbers in the calendar's options menu (⋯). The choice is kept per mode, on this device.
A Second Time Zone
If you work with people elsewhere, the options menu (⋯) has a Second time zone choice in the views that draw the hours. Pick a zone and a second clock appears beside the hours, over its zone's name ("EDT", "GMT+5:30"): each line reads "3 PM here, 9 AM there" at a glance, and half-hour zones such as India show their minutes. It follows daylight saving in both zones, the way you write the time (12 or 24 hours) and the app's language. It is one answer for every mode, kept on this device; choose None to remove it. On a phone there is no room beside three day columns, so the second clock is not drawn there.
Narrow Windows And Large Text
The date in the toolbar is never cut off. Where the full form does not fit — a narrow window, larger text, or a range that crosses a month — it shortens: "September 28 – October 4, 2026", then "Sep 28 – Oct 4, 2026", then "Sep 28 – Oct 4", and last "9/28 – 10/4". In the narrowest windows the toolbar also drops its Today button; Today is still at the bottom of the date picker the title opens, and on the T key.
Visibility And Color Rules
- Hiding a calendar from the sidebar removes it from Focus, Month, and Week views.
- Hiding labels in the profile page only affects Focus view.
- Calendar colors are the default visual source across all views.
- Event-level colors override the calendar color for that specific event.
