Language and Locale
PrimeCal supports four languages: English, Hungarian, German, and French. You choose your language during onboarding and can change it at any time from your profile.
Changing Your Language
- Click your avatar or name in the top-right corner.
- Select Profile.
- Scroll to the Personalization section.
- Open the Language dropdown.
- Choose your preferred language.
- Save — the entire interface updates immediately.
Supported Languages
| Language | Code | Coverage |
|---|---|---|
| English | en | Full — default language |
| Hungarian | hu | Full — native speaker support |
| German | de | Full — European market |
| French | fr | Full — European market |
All interface labels, buttons, messages, error texts, and system notifications are translated. The documentation portal at docs.primecal.eu is also available in all four languages.
What Language Affects
- All UI labels, buttons, and menus
- System notifications and error messages
- Onboarding wizard text
- Email notifications from PrimeCal
What Language Does NOT Affect
- Your own calendar and event content — event titles, descriptions, and notes appear exactly as you typed them
- Other users' content — if Will creates an event called "Team Standup", that title appears as-is for everyone
Language During Onboarding
During the five-step onboarding wizard, Step 2 (Personalization) lets you pick your language. PrimeCal applies it immediately.
Each family member can choose their own language in their own profile. May's interface can be in English while Noah's is in Hungarian — they share the same calendars and events, but each sees the UI in their own language.
Public Booking Pages
The public booking interface (for pool or resource reservations) also supports all four languages. Visitors switch language using the selector on the public booking page — no PrimeCal account required.
