Zoom Integration

PrimeCal v1.3.4 does not have a native Zoom app integration. There is no one-click "Add Zoom Meeting" button. However, you can use Zoom meetings effectively with PrimeCal using the approaches below.

The simplest approach is to paste your Zoom meeting URL into the event's Location or Notes field when creating or editing an event.

  1. In Zoom, generate or copy your meeting link (e.g., https://us05web.zoom.us/j/12345678?pwd=...).
  2. In PrimeCal, create or open the event.
  3. Paste the Zoom URL into the Location field or the Notes/Description field.
  4. Save the event.

Everyone who can see the event — including members of a shared calendar — can see and click the link.

tip

Putting the Zoom URL in the Location field is often the best choice. PrimeCal's Focus view highlights the location field during live events, making it easy to spot and click the join link right when the meeting starts.

Join from Focus view​

PrimeCal's Focus view shows your current and upcoming events in a distraction-free display. When the meeting URL is in the event's location field, Focus view shows a Join link during the event's time window. Click it to open Zoom directly.

Using Zoom with Google Calendar or Outlook sync​

If you use the Zoom integration in Google Calendar or Outlook, Zoom automatically adds the meeting link to your calendar events there. When you sync Google Calendar or Outlook to PrimeCal (see Google Calendar Sync or Microsoft 365 Sync), those events — including the Zoom links — appear in PrimeCal automatically.

This means the best workflow for heavy Zoom users is:

  1. Keep scheduling Zoom meetings through Google Calendar or Outlook (where the native Zoom integration works).
  2. Sync that calendar to PrimeCal.
  3. Zoom links appear in PrimeCal's event details, ready to click.

What's coming​

Native Zoom app integration (one-click meeting creation from PrimeCal) is planned for a future version. When it's available, you'll be able to generate Zoom links directly from the PrimeCal event editor.
