Email Notifications
PrimeCal sends email notifications for important account and calendar activity. You can fine-tune which emails you receive from Notification Settings.
Email Types
Event Reminders
A reminder email sent before an event starts, if you've enabled email as a delivery channel for reminders. The timing is configured per event (e.g., 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day before) — there's no separate global email-only timing.
Shared Calendar and Group Invitations
When someone shares a calendar with you, or invites you to a calendar-sharing people group, PrimeCal can send an email letting you know.
Digest Emails
Lower-priority notifications (see How Priority Works) are batched into a single digest email instead of arriving one at a time, on the cadence you choose per notification type (hourly or daily).
Account Emails
- Welcome email: sent after successful registration
- Password reset: when you request a password reset link
- Email verification: if email verification is enabled on your instance
Product Updates (Optional)
Release notes and feature announcements from the PrimeCal team. This is opt-in — you choose during onboarding whether you want these, and can change the setting any time.
Managing Email Preferences
- Click the bell icon in the main navigation to open the Notification Center, then click Settings.
- Toggle the Email chip for each notification type you want it enabled or disabled for.
- Save your preferences.
This is separate from your Profile page — email notification preferences live in the bell-icon Notification Settings, not under Profile.
Email Address
Notifications go to the email address registered on your account. To change it:
- Open Profile → Account.
- Update the Email address field.
- Confirm the new address if prompted.
Unsubscribing
Every marketing or product-update email from PrimeCal includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it turns off that category of email without affecting transactional emails like password resets.
Transactional emails (password resets, security alerts) cannot be turned off — they're sent only when you take a specific action that requires them.
