Payments and Invoices
Who takes the payment
PrimeCal sells through Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record. Practically, that means Paddle — not PrimeCal — is the party that:
- takes the payment and stores your payment method
- issues the invoice or receipt
- calculates and remits VAT or sales tax for your country
- appears on your card or bank statement
- handles refunds and payment disputes
PrimeCal never sees or stores your card details. They are entered on Paddle's checkout and stay with Paddle.
Questions about a charge, invoice, tax treatment, payment method, currency, receipt or payment dispute must go to Paddle in the first instance, using the contact details on your invoice or receipt. PrimeCal cannot reverse, adjust, re-invoice or refund a Paddle transaction on your behalf. This is set out in the Terms of Service.
Finding your invoices
Paddle emails a receipt or invoice to your account email address for every payment. That email is the primary copy — keep it, or retrieve past documents from Paddle using the link in any previous receipt.
The Subscription page has an invoice list, but it only ever populated for accounts billed through the older Stripe path. If you subscribed through Paddle it will be empty — that is expected and does not mean an invoice is missing. Use the Paddle email receipt.
Adding a VAT ID or billing address
If you are buying as a business and need a VAT ID or company address on the invoice, enter it at checkout, in Paddle's checkout form. Paddle validates the VAT ID and applies reverse-charge treatment where it applies.
If you need it changed on an invoice that has already been issued, contact Paddle.
Updating your payment method
Open Profile menu → Subscription → Manage Billing. This takes you to Paddle, where you can change the card or payment method on file. Changes there apply to your next renewal.
A subscription that began before PrimeCal moved to Paddle opens Stripe's billing portal instead - Manage Billing always goes to whichever of the two bills you. A plan an administrator assigned to your account is not billed through PrimeCal at all, so it has no Manage Billing or Cancel button; the page says so.
Currency and tax
Prices are set in EUR. What you are charged at checkout may include VAT or local sales tax depending on your country and whether you supplied a valid business VAT ID. The checkout total is the authoritative figure.
When a payment fails
If a renewal payment fails, your subscription is marked past due.
When a renewal payment fails, paid features stop being available straight away. Your data is not deleted and nothing is cancelled — you keep your account and everything in it, and paid features return as soon as a payment succeeds.
What to do:
- Check your email — Paddle sends a payment-failure notice and usually retries automatically.
- Open Profile menu → Subscription → Manage Billing and update the payment method.
- Once the payment goes through, paid features are restored. Reload the page if they do not reappear at once.
If a past-due subscription is never paid, it eventually ends and the account reverts to the Free plan. See Cancelling and Refunds for what that means for your data.
