Cancelling and Refunds
How to cancel
- Open Profile menu → Subscription.
- Choose Cancel subscription.
- You are taken to the billing portal - Paddle's, or Stripe's for a subscription that began there - to confirm. That is where the cancellation actually happens.
You do not need to contact anyone to cancel, and you do not need an administrator's permission to cancel your own subscription.
What happens after you cancel
- Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling on day 3 of a monthly period does not cut you off on day 3.
- At the end of that period the subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan.
- Nothing is deleted when you cancel. Your calendars, events, tasks and other data stay in your account.
- Free plan limits then apply again — see Plans and Pricing. If you are over a Free limit (for example you have more than 3 calendars), what you already have is not deleted, but you cannot create more until you are back under the cap.
To come back, just subscribe again from the same page — your data is still there.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund
Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not refund the period you are currently in. If you want money back for a payment already taken, that is a refund request and is handled separately, below.
Refunds
Paddle is the Merchant of Record and executed the payment, so refund requests go to Paddle using the contact details on your invoice or receipt. PrimeCal cannot reverse a Paddle transaction.
The default position is that fees are non-refundable, because at checkout you expressly ask for the service to start immediately and acknowledge that this ends the standard 14-day EU right of withdrawal for digital content (Article 16(m), Directive 2011/83/EU). This is presented to you as an explicit confirmation at checkout — it is not buried in the terms.
Refunds are still available in defined cases, including:
- the service is not in conformity with the contract (a statutory right, not a discretionary one, and it cannot be excluded)
- technical non-delivery — you paid but the service was not supplied
- duplicate or erroneous charges
- unauthorised transactions
- discontinuation of the service by PrimeCal
Mandatory consumer rights under EU and UK law are unaffected by any of the above.
The full, binding terms — including how to submit a request and what evidence helps — are in the Refund Policy.
Deleting your account entirely
Cancelling a subscription and deleting an account are different actions. Cancelling leaves your account in place on the Free plan. If you want the account and its data removed, request deletion through account settings or the contact channel in the Privacy Policy.
Getting your data out first
For 30 days after termination, and before deletion, you can request an export of your account data, your content, and data from connected Google or Microsoft accounts. Ask through the contact channel published on the Terms of Service page within that window and your data is preserved until the export has been provided.
Do not rely on PrimeCal as your only copy of anything important — the service is not an archive.
